Mohammed Salah has won FWA Footballer of the Year award
after his superb debut season at Liverpool.
The Egyptian has scored 43 times in all competitions this
season, with Liverpool football club currently the third in the premier league
table and also preparing for a champions league semi-final second clash with Roma.
Aggregate score stands at 5-2, with Salah finding the net twice against his
former club.
Salah won the football writers’ footballer of the year,
beating Manchester city’s Kevin De Bruyne to the prize and Tottenham striker
Harry Kane.
Salah leading with 20 votes, a total of 400 journalists
voted for the FWA award, with salad and de Bruyne polling more than 80 percent of
member votes.
Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante won the FWA footballer of
the year award last year, Salah will be honoured on the 10th of May.
